Nedan ser du hur man kan göra några tricks när man räknar med negativa tal och få fram enkla regler.

20+(-5) = 15 + 5 + (-5) = 15
Alltså: 20+(-5) = 20 - 5
20 - (-5) = 20 + 0 - (-5) = 20 + 5 + (-5)- (-5) = 20 + 5
Alltså: 20 - (-5) = 20 + 5
Definition
Vad handlar det om
  • minustecken kan betyda subtraktion eller negativa tal
  • a+(-a) = 0 definition
  • a+(-b) = a-b addition
  • a-(-b) = a+b subtraktion
  • a*(-b) = -ab multiplikation
  • (-a)*(-b) = ab multiplikation
  • (-a)/b = -(a/b) division
  • (-a)/(-b) = a/b division
